Former prime minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that there was no clash between the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and armed forces and the party “could not even think of speaking against the Army”.

While talking to reporters on Saturday, Ashraf said that the Army was fighting a war of the country’s survival, which was highly laudable.

While talking about the situation in Karachi, he said that the problem in the port city was an old one and all institutions including Rangers were trying to overcome the issue.

While talking about uninterrupted load-shedding and power cuts in the country, he claimed that during his tenure load shedding was observed only for three hours but now the situation has deteriorated to an alarming level.
