President Mamnoon meets Saudi King Salman

President Mamnoon Hussain met with King Salman bin Abdul Aziz al Saud in Jeddah and discussed bilateral relations, regional situation and matters of mutual interest.

In a meeting held here late Thursday, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Naef was also present. President Mamnoon was accompanied by Ambassador Manzoor ul Haq and Consul General Aftab Khokher.

The King warmly welcomed President Mamnoon Hussain on his visit to Saudi Arabia.

President Mamnoon Hussain said the people and the Government of Pakistan have warm feelings for the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia and hold the Custodian of two Holy Mosques in high esteem.

King Salman said that Pakistan is a brotherly country and the relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are exemplary.

He said the Pakistani community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was very well respected for its conduct and contribution in the development of the Kingdom. More than two million Pakistanis reside in the Kingdom.

In response to president’s appreciation of the Kings of Saudi Arabia for the Muslim Ummah in their role as the Custodians of two Holy Mosques, King Salman said it was their sacred responsibility to serve the Umrah and the Hajj pilgrims and ensure peace and stability in the Kingdom.

The president extended an invitation to King Salman to visit Pakistan, which was accepted.
