An election tribunal on Wednesday adjourned hearing of National Assembly constituency NA-122 Lahore alleged rigging case till June 18.
The tribunal comprising Justice (r) Kazim Ali Malik was hearing the election petition filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan challenging the victory of National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq from the aforementioned constituency.
During the hearing, Khan’s counsel Anis Hashmi while submitting a consolidated statement advanced his arguments in connection with ballot papers, counterfoils and their legal status.
The tribunal heard the arguments at length and adjourned the matter till June 18 while directing Khan’s counsel to continue his arguments on next date of hearing. The tribunal also directed counsel to re-arrange consolidated statement and provide break-up of the statistics.
