The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has sought replies from Principal Secretary to Prime Minister and others on a petition challenging the appointment of Managing Director (MD) Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) Kabir Ahmad Khan.
A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Noor ul Haq Qureshi took up a petition filed by Chaudhry Tanvir on Thursday. The litigant said that the appointment of a retired bureaucrat as MD was in violation of rules as it deprived serving bureaucrats of their right to serve. He requested the court to pass an order doing away with the appointment.
The court after issuing notices to the respondents adjourned the hearing till next date to be fixed by the office.
