Capital Development Authority (CDA) is still awaiting directives from the concerned authorities to run Green Bus Service to facilitate commuters who want to reach metro bus service stations.
Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had announced development of a public transport in different areas of the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi to take passengers to the nearby stops of metro bus service.
However, an official of the civic body said on Thursday that they have not yet received any directives in writing regarding green buses to feed metro bus service.
It was announced that green-colour buses will be started on routes feeding the metro. Feeder service is supposed to start within three months to bring commuters to metro stations with no additional fare.
The service will benefit the residents living in the different areas of the twin cities who cannot approach to metro bus stations easily.
