Smart phone app developed for public transport

The Lahore Transport Company (LTC) has been assigned the task to enforce, plan and regulate the public transport system in the provincial metropolis with a view to provide safe, affordable, efficient and environment-friendly transport facilities of international standard to the public, it has been declared.

LTC Chairman Khwaja Ahmad Hassan said this on Tuesday while presiding over the launching ceremony of a user-friendly smart phone application “Bus Da Pata” about the buses plying on various city routes, in collaboration with Pakistan Trakker Limited, according to sources.

According to a press release, Mr Hassan said the application would provide necessary information about a bus to the passengers on a single click.

The application could be downloaded free of cost from the internet on smart phones, reportedly.
