Three alleged gagsters were killed in an encounter with Rangers and Police in Kalakot area of Lyari, in the wee hour of Monday.
As per the official sources, three gangsters including Qadir Nawaz, 24, Ayaz, 25, and one unidentified man, aged about 30 years were killed in encounter near Old Haji Camp within the jurisdiction of Kalakot Police Station in Liyari.
These gangsters belonged to the notorious group led by Noor Muhammad alias Baba Ladla in Lyari.
SHOs of Kalakot, Napier and Kalri along with Sindh Rangers personnel jointly took part in the operation.
Criminals opened fire in a discriminatory manner when security personnel raided their hideout and in the retaliatory firing three criminals were killed at the spot.
Police recovered three pistols, hand grenades and looted articles from their possession.
Bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Police claimed that killed criminals were wanted in assassinating attempt on Sindh Minster for Katchi Abadies Javed Nagori in which his brother Akbar Nagori was killed one month ago.
