KARACHI:
A police officer has been arrested Tuesday early morning, for running a prostitution ring in Karachi area of Gulistan e Jauhar. Six women were also taken into custody during the crackdown.
Personnel from Ferozabad police station raided a house overnight located in the area, and busted a prostitution racket. A police officer, who is alleged to be patronizing the criminal activities, has been captured.
The police official ASI Sadrud Din has been demoted and suspended. Women said Sadrud Din used to patronize them and take monthly protection money from them.
When contacted about the six women arrested during the raid, the police official said he does not know them.
