ARUNDEL (England):

Two cricketers were taken to hospital on Sunday after they collided in an English county match, which led to three ambulances coming onto the field.

The Twenty20 match between Surrey and Sussex at Arundel Castle Cricket Club in southern England was abandoned.

Surrey duo Moises Henriques and Rory Burns were injured while going for a catch. Surrey said on its website that the players “were sitting up and conscious when they left the ground.”

The 28-year-old Henriques, a Portuguese-born Australia all-rounder, signed for Surrey in April to play in the T20 Blast competition as an overseas player.

The 24-year-old Burns, an opening batsman, is a graduate of London-based Surrey’s academy.
