Residence of National Party (NP) leader, Dr Yaseen Baloch, was attacked on Sunday but the residents remained safe.
Police have arrested the accused. Police said that an accused hurled hand grenade and opened fire at house of Dr Baloch, located in Kalag area of Turbat but the residents survived unhurt in the attack. The NP leader himself was not present at home.
Kech SP Imran Qureshi said that the culprit identified as Jaleel who was recently released on bail has been arrested and in the preliminary interrogation has revealed that he carried out the attack on NP leader’s house due to differences with his brother over property dispute.
Meanwhile, leaders of political and nationalist parties of the province have strongly condemned the attack.
