Rangers killed two criminals in encounter

Sindh Rangers killed two notorious criminals in an exchange of fire and recovered arms from their possession during a crackdown on Sunday.

Rangers conducted raid at Gul Muhammad Lane of Lyari during which the exchange of fire took place between the security personnel and criminals.

In cross fire, two gang-war suspects hailing from Baba Ladla group and identified as Arslan alias Mulla, and Muhammad Nasir, were killed. Arms were recovered from their possession. They were wanted by police in more than 30 cases.

SUSPECTS ARRESTED:

In the meanwhile, Rangers arrested 11 suspects along with weapons during a raid conducted at Guru Mandir Patel Para area of the metropolis.

Moreover, ASI Farhan was arrested during a raid in Defence area via vehicle tracing over charges of kidnapping for ransom. The arrested officer, ASI Farhan hails from police department’s Special Branch. He performs duty at Airport Surveillance.

Sources said the law-enforcers were interrogating the ASI in connection with a case of kidnapping for ransom at an undisclosed location.

Meanwhile, security forces also traced a 15-member gang involved in killing police officers in Karachi.

According to sources, the gang was operated by Commander Irdhad Ullah and Daod Mahsud from Afghanistan and had also roots in Waziristan.

The group was accused of assassinating Superintendent of Police (SP) Ejaz Haidari, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Abdul Fateh, DSP Majeed Abbas and DSP Zulfiqar Zaidi.

Terrorist Daod Mahsud is a former police officer and he used to perform his duty at East Zone to monitor security arrangements of the area.

CTD ARRESTS FOUR TARGET KILLERS

The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested four target killers and recovered arms during a crackdown on Sunday.

Responding to a tip off, the CTD conducted raid near Old Sabzi locality in Karachi during while four targets killer were nabbed besides recovery of arms from their possession.

The detainees including Khurram Shehzad, Mirza alias Ganja, Adnan alias Adil and Imran alias Lava were wanted by various police stations in more than 50 cases.

The arrested culprits have been shifted to an undisclosed location for further interrogation and according to CTD important revelations were expected.
