QUETTA:
Two more commanders, along with 47 militants from insurgent groups in Balochistan, laid down their arms on Saturday.
They announced their surrender at a news conference in the presence of Balochistan home minister Sarfraz Bugti and PML-N’s senior leader Nawaz Jangez Marri.
Madina Marri and Shikari Marri (the two commanders) stated that they were affiliated with the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and United Baloch Army (UBA), blamed for several deadly attacks on security forces, according to sources.
Bugti stated that the provincial government has announced amnesty for militants who surrender.
