District judiciary urged to deliver speedy justice

During a certificate awarding ceremony at the conclusion of a one-week training course on “Appreciation of Evidence and Management of Criminal Trial before Magistrates” in the Federal Judicial Academy (FJA) Islamabad on Saturday, Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Aamir Farooq has urged district judiciary judges to deliver speedy justice in accordance with the law.

“Whether it is a civil or a criminal case, judges are ordained to administer justice, in accordance with the facts and the law. We have to rely mainly on an adjudication of the facts in accordance with the law,” he said.

Regarding the importance of judgment writing, he said, “It is very important subject. English is not our native language but we can develop our skills of judgment writing through various ways. None can deny the importance of clear and cogent Judgment. All of you (young judges) should focus on writing good judgments.”

Earlier, FJA Director General Fakhar Hayat presented his welcome speech and an overview of the course. He also spoke about the unique integrated training course comprising five newly inducted district and sessions judges from Balochistan Judicial Service and twenty two civil judges and judicial magistrates from all over Pakistan and AJK.

In the end, the honorable chief guest distributed certificates among the course participants in the ceremony.
