Punjab CM visits family of two brother killed by police

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif accompanied by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan went to the house of deceased Zeeshan Butt and Shakeel Butt in Dhok Ali Akbar Shakrial, Rawalpindi who were killed in police firing.

They expressed sorrow and grief with the bereaved family and assured that stern action will be taken under the law against the persons found guilty in the inquiry report and no leniency will be shown. Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan expressed sympathies with the mother and the family of the real brothers and also prayed for the departed souls.

Talking to the mother and the bereaved family, the Chief Minister promised that justice will be provided to them at any cost. He said that police officials had no justification to open direct fire on deceased Zeeshan Butt and Shakeel Butt. He said that a grave injustice have been committed and those involved will not be able to escape punishment. He said that police has no right to open direct fire and destroy a home. He said that though the deceased brothers cannot be brought back but demands of justice will be fulfilled and the culprits will be punished. He said that everyone is grieved at this tragic incident and it is not possible to express sentiments in words.

Talking to the mother of the deceased, Shahbaz Sharif said that justice will be provided to her at any cost. He also inquired from the mother of the deceased about details of the incident and sympathized with her. Interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan said that he was deeply grieved over this tragic incident and the culprits deserve maximum punishment. He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has also expressed sorrow and grief over this tragedy. Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif announced financial assistance of Rs. 15 lakh each for the deceased brothers Zeeshan Butt and Shakeel Butt on behalf of Punjab government and federal government.
