Police recovered explosives and hand grenades on the bank of a river on Thursday, which were defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS).
According to details, police was informed by dwellers of Shabaqar area of district Charsadda about presence of a suspicious bag on the bank of River Swat.
The police along with BDS reached the scene and during search of bag three kilogram explosives and three hand grenades were recovered which were defused by BDS.
Police claimed that the explosives and hand grenades were to be used in any terror activity but due to fear of law enforcements agencies (LEAs) which have accelerated the actions against miscreants, they dumped the bag there and escaped.
