349 suspects arrested under NAP: Police Spokesman

Under the National Action Plan (NAP), the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police has rounded up 349 suspects and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitions in the ongoing search and strike operation being conducted throughout the province.

According to Spokesman of KP Police, during the operation the police conducted operations in different parts of the province recovered 21 Arms and ammunition of different kind and 323 rounds of different bore.

As many as 533 houses and 255 hotels were checked and 09 cases were registered against the violators.

During snap checking on 140 check points, 296 suspects were held and recovered seven arms of different kind and 145 cartridges of different bore.

During action against illegal Afghans a total of 35 persons was detained on violation and 23 cases was registered against him. Similarly, one person was arrested on violation of illegal use of loudspeaker and one loudspeaker was confiscated while one case was registered against the violators. Similarly 61 bus stands, seven cinema house and 310 sensitive places were also checked.

Security inspection of 602 educational institutions were also carried out and various institutions were advised to further beef up security arrangements.
