The auditorium of Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) witnessed huge crowds late Monday where a cluster of musicians from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa gave a resounding performance.
The PNCA in collaboration with Culture Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa organised the Khyber Pakhtunkwa Music Night to pay tribute to Pashto singers.
The performers, including Naznain, Nillo, Khalid Khattak, Saima Gul, Shahid Malang, Nabeela and Bakhtiar Khattak put up a brilliant show while singing the melodious popular music items. Kelash dance, Khattak dance and skits were also presented by renowned artist Said Rehman Shino from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The audience appreciated the wide range of Pashto music performances and termed the show as an opportunity of healthy entertainment that also creates an understanding to know about the musical heritage of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PNCA Director General, Muhammad Naeem Khan, senior officials of the Culture Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and a large number of people from the audience attended the event.
Singer Saima Gul said that the people of capital city are considered the best audience. She lauded PNCA and Culture department KPK for organising the musical evening of Pashtu.
Sanna Ullah, a member of the audience, said that this was a really very good way to enjoy a live music show in the federal capital. He appreciated the artist who presented Khattak Dance and Kelash dance.
Stage compare Jamshid Ali said that this kind of culture shows provide an opportunity to the people of twin city to enjoy with their friends and families.
Interestingly, the singers and the host highly appreciated the Metro Bus Service.
Renowned Pashtu singer Bakhtiar Khattak said, “Instead of using his personal vehicle, he used the newly state of the art Metro Bus Service to reach PNCA.” In response, the audience began to clap.
