A young student of Business Marketing residing in Canada, Shahveer is already bringing smiles on people’s faces worldwide, and it isn’t hard to see why. A regular boy next door who owns a DSLR and is using it to its fullest capacity, Shahveer is hoping to make a difference with his funny and interesting viral videos on social media which aim at Desi families and their culture/traditions/traits, entertaining us with his sense of humour and bringing a positive image of Pakistanis into view!
Pakistan Today caught a glimpse Shahveer Jafry’s world and asked him a few questions along the way:
PT: Where are you located currently, and what is your work mostly about? Are you planning to take it further and go into stand up comedy for your fans?
SJ: I live in Toronto, Canada and I make short video clips for entertainment. After the recent success, I am definitely thinking of doing comedy shows very soon.
PT: Tell us a little about yourself: Who is Shahveer Jafry? What are his likes and dislikes, where does he aim to be five years from now?
SJ:Well, to those who don’t know me yet, my name is Shahveer Jafry and I am currently living in Canada. I’m studying business marketing and I’m currently in my second year. Within the next 5 years, I plan to step up from these short videos and try my role as an actor in a serious film.

PT: Three bold Pakistani boys took social media by storm when they started making viral videos to make people laugh, pointing fun at desi families. How has the response been so far and what is your sole purpose of these videos?
SJ: As the question mentions “making viral videos”, it pretty much answers itself. The response has been thrilling throughout. The purpose of these videos is just instant entertainment. People want to be entertained instantly now a days. Since social media has become the largest media platform, us entertainers saw an open opportunity and capitalized on it. However, it doesn’t end here, it is just the beginning!
PT: Do you have any other projects and are you currently working on something apart from the channel/videos?
SJ: I have many upcoming projects on all kinds of topics. Also, this year, i’m planning on a tour and a feature film.
PT: Is there anything that you would want to say to your loved ones/fans?
SJ: Over the past few months, I’ve received an overwhelming amount of emails and messages from all around the world. I can proudly present myself as one of the most loved entertainers solely because of the awesomeness of the people that love and support me unconditionally. I guess I have the greatest family on Facebook.

PT: What is the message that you want to give out to the world with the production of such videos on your channel and pages?
SJ: I believe that a film industry or an entertainment business in a country is its language that helps it to communicate with the rest of the world and I strongly believe Pakistan is lacking it. The idea is promote Pakistani culture, its values and show the world how peaceful, loving and caring we are as a nation.

Shahveer’s message is simple: he aims solely at promoting a positive image of his country, Pakistan, through his short, funny video clips that are available on his Facebook and other social media. Given the youth has the ability to change the image of a nation into positive or negative with a platform available, we can say that Shahveer is doing a pretty good job at making people happy in their oh-so-busy lives with his videos, and we hope to continue seeing more of him and his friends Sham Idrees, and ofcourse, Zaid Ali T in these viral videos of theirs with game-changing, positive messages!
Good luck to our youth who are aiming at promoting a positive image of the nation!
