Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid on Sunday invited Swedish investors and businessmen to invest in Pakistan’s energy and infrastructure projects.
He was addressing a ceremony at the residence of the Swedish Ambassador on the Swedish National Day celebrations. Pervaiz Rashid said that both the countries have cooperated and extended support to each other at various international fora on issues of mutual interest. He said that they were looking forward to continuing this cooperation in the future as well.
Meanwhile, the minister rejected rumours about abolishing the subsidy on wheat for Gilgit-Baltistan. In a statement on Sunday, he said these rumours are totally baseless.
The minister said these rumours are being spread to get votes in GB elections. He said Rs 6.5 billion have been fixed as subsidy on wheat for Gilgit Baltistan in the budget.
