As usual disappointing

The Finance Minister presented the budget which had very little for the welfare of the poor, the salaried class and the low income group comprises the “weeping majority”. This majority in Pakistan is helpless and can’t even effectively protest. And protest to what benefit? They as usual will get nothing but hollow promises and to no avail. How far will we continue to suffer at the hands of few picked elites who once elected do what they must do… keep the poor’s hopes alive by false promises?

No concrete steps have been taken by our rulers of the present/past government to get rid of existing problems of the masses, namely inflation/no control over high prices, ever falling purchasing power, increase of 7.5 per cent in salaries/pensions, lack of food security, load-shedding, security problems, to name a few.

Are our rulers even aware of problems of the masses? If so, do they intentionally avoid trying to solve the actual problems? I hope they sort out the priorities seriously. Is metrobus priority numbre one? It is debatable.
