The Election Commission of Pakistan on Friday notified to hold by-election in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly constituency PK-95 Lower Dir-II on July 12.
According to the schedule issued by the Commission, public notice by Returning Officer will be issued on June 8, as date for filing of nomination papers has been set for June 15 and 16.
Dates for scrutiny of nomination papers have been set for June 18 and 19 while last date for filing of appeals against decision of Returning Officer regarding acceptance or rejection of nomination papers will be June 22.
Last date for decision by Election Tribunals on appeals will be June 25 while the date for withdrawal of candidature has been set for June 26.
Publication of revised list of candidates will be made on June 26 while polling in this constituency will be held on July 12.
This by-election is being held in pursuance of a decision by the Election Commission in a case 27 (11)/ 2015, wherein the previous by-election was declared void by the ECP.
Meanwhile, the ECP has also appointed Regional Election Commissioner, Malakand Division, Swat, Jamil Ahmed as District eturning Officer and Muhammad Nasir Khan District Election Commissioner Lower Dir as Returning Officer and Fakharuddin, SST Govt High School, Mian Kalay Munda, Lower Dir as Assistant Returning Officer.
