Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has appointed PML-Likeminded leader Haroon Akhtar Khan as his special assistant on revenue.
This is a major development to adjust the rest of the leaders of the rebel group of PML-Q. Earlier, Senator Salim Saifullah Khan had also been accommodated into the PML-N fold. However, the status of Haroon Akhtar’s elder brother, former federal minister for commerce Humayon Akhtar Khan remains unclear.
In a notification released by the office of PML-likeminded, Haroon Akhtar Khan’s status would be of minister of state.
