The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday dismissed petition for bail cancellation of Maryam Safdar, accused of killing three men and injuring 11 others running her car over them in a bid to save her life from an aggressive mob in Youhanabad.
The single bench comprising Justice Aalia Neelam heard the matter.
Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel submitted that a trial court had released Maryam Safdar on a bail without deciding the question of her motive behind the reckless driving. He pleaded the court to cancel the bail of accused.
However, investigation officer told the court that the accused rammed her car into protestors in a bid to save her life after being harassed by them.
Upon this, the court dismissed the petition for bail cancellation of the accused.
