Dengue hickeys two more people

Two new dengue cases surfaced in different areas of the provincial capital on Tuesday raising the toll of dengue victims in Punjab to eight.

According to Punjab Health Department sources, 40-year-old Asghar hailing from district Mianwali and Amir, 32, a dweller of Awan Town Lahore admitted in Government Muzang Hospital and a private hospital of the city respectively were found affected with dengue virus.

With two new cases total number of dengue patients this year has reached to eight.

During last month Institute for Public Health had sent 42 blood samples for laboratory test of which 9 were tested positive whereas dengue larvae was found in water at 1,445 locations of Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Mianwali and other districts of Punjab.
