The Lahore High Court (LHC) Rawalpindi bench has ordered that an attempt to murder case be registered against IG Jails Punjab and Superintendent Adiala Jail.
Police has registered the case under the orders of court and started action against the two officers.
A single bench of LHC Rawalpindi bench, comprising Justice Arshid Mehmood Tabassum, on Wednesday took up for hearing a petition filed by Nazim Shah, an employee in the office of IG Jails, who was seeking the registration of a case against IG Jails Punjab and Superintendent Adiala Jail
The petitioner Nazim Shah took the plea in the petition that IG Jails Punjab Mian Farooq Nazir and superintendent Adiala Jail Malik Mushtaq attempted to kill him. “I gave an application to the Bairooni police station for registration of a case against these two officers,” he said, but police has neither registered case on his application nor his complaint has been addressed. “Therefore, I have had to come to the court to seek justice,” he prayed.
He further requested the court to register a case against these two officers, initiate action against them and provide protection to him.
