Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Monday has submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly condemning the increase in the  prices of petroleum products.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Khursheed Shah lashed out at the government for escalating oil prices and stated that there was no need of presenting budget now.

Earlier, petrol prices were raised by Rs 3.50.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has decided not to pass on the entire burden to the masses and therefore, the government will subsidise the prices by Rs 6. New prices were implemented from yesterday.

Addressing a press conference in Islamabad, Ishaq Dar said that the new price of light diesel will be Rs 61.67 and kerosene will be Rs 64.94. High octane price will be Rs 83.81 while high speed diesel will now be available for 87.12 rupees per litre, he added.
