Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon has issued legal notice to a private channel for telecasting news of raid on his house by law enforcement agencies and advised the channel to tender unconditional apology within 14 days otherwise he will file Rs 2 billion legal suit against the channel.
The lawyer of the minister in his notice stated that his client was a reputed, law abiding educated citizen. He was also elected member of the provincial assembly and servicing as minister in Sindh, it added.
The notice stated that the channel telecasted a baseless and fabricated story on May 29 and claimed that officials of sensitive agencies arrested Sharjeel Memon’s private secretary and recorded his statement.
