Govt workers protesting for salaries in legal trouble

A case has been registered against 500 government workers protesting in the Federal capital to increase salaries, at the secretariat police station on Thursday.

According to media reports, on the instruction of IG Islamabad Tahir Alam, cases was registered against 500 government workers at the Secretariat police station.

Initially, a case was filed for violations of Section 188 and the loudspeakers act. 19 workers have been nominated in FIR, while 481 employees were included in the record of unknown people.

The police carried out raids in various areas to arrest criminals, who have been identified through CCTV video footages and with the help of witnesses.

No suspects were arrested till the last information.

It should be kept in mind that workers had protested and chanted slogans in front of the Pakistan secretariat on Thursday, against the government in violations of the loudspeakers act to increase their salaries.
