Bid to bomb rail track foiled, one arrested

Kandhkot police foiled a bid to damage the rail track and arrested one terrorist.

The C-Section police arrested accused Amanatullah, son of Ganhwar Khan Jakhrani, from Village Malir-Vari as he was trying to plant a bomb at the railway track. Explosive material and a TT pistol were recovered from him.

SHO Ali Muhammad Mahar said the arrested accused had confessed to bomb the rail track on May 13 at Murad Wah area of Bukshapur due to which engine and five bogies of Khushal Khan Khattak Express had derailed. He said the accused confessed to work for some banned outfits of Balochistan. A case under anti-terrorism act was lodged and further probe was initiated.
