Pakistan team filled with fixers, shouldn’t be taken seriously: Rawalpindi express

Former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar has dropped yet another bomb on the cricket of Pakistan as he made some of the most controversial comments on the team, in which he played for several years.

The ever-so-controversial fast bowler revealed that the results of the matches were decided in the dressing room and not the playing ground. He added that Pakistan team should not be taken seriously.

“Pakistan team is not to be taken seriously.” Shoaib Akhtar said in an interview to Harsha Bhogle on a sports channel.

“All the captains of the team lacked any Cricket knowledge. The results of the matches were decided in the dressing room, and playing in actual did not contribute to the results.” He added.

The 39 year-old pacer, who was himself involved in many different controversies over the course of his career, revealed that the team has been full of fixers, and no one has played for the team.

“I cannot tell you how many fixers there were in the team. In Pakistan Cricket team, everyone played for himself and no played for the team as a whole.” Akhtar added.

Shoaib Akhtar mostly was repetitive of what he write in his book about Pakistan’s Cricket team, but giving those statements in an Indian show in India has created a feeling of outrage among the fans of the team.
