The Lahore School of Economics (LSE)- Corporate Social Responsibility Centre celebrated its Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with “Teach for Pakistan (TFP)” recently at the School’s main campus.
The event was attended by its faculty and students along with fellows from “Teach for Pakistan”. The event was marked by the signing of the agreement between the two parties, where the LSE agreed to adopt an under-resourced school in its surrounding area .
Addressing the event, LSE rector Dr Shahid Amjad Chauudhry emphasised the importance of taking up its CSR centre to an entire new dimension. He also commended the LSE’s CSR initiative in the health sector and encouraged the involvement of students and faculty for the betterment of society. TFP city manager Mahlaqa Shaukat, adding to the discussion, said that this was their first partnership with an educational institution. The ceremony concluded with an exchange of constructive thoughts that proved to be a source of inspiration for both parties.
