Suicide bomber killed during Rangers’ raid in Karachi’s Orangi Town

A suspected suicide bomber blew himself up during a Rangers search operation in Karachi’s Orangi Town area late on Monday night.

Karachi West Deputy Inspector General of Police Feroze Shah said that a suicide bomber detonated his explosives during a search operation in Faqir Colony area of Orangi Town led by Sindh Rangers Director General Bilal Akbar. He said that Rangers had raided the locality on information that terrorists were hiding there. He said that the bomber first threw hand grenades at the security officials and then blew himself up. Another terrorist in injured condition was arrested in the subsequent search of the area.

The police official said that no further loss of life was reported in the incident.
