The ongoing differences between Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan ended and both the leaders would hold one on one meeting in next few days, Online reported Sunday.

Rumours of differences between Sharif and Nisar have been circulating for past few months.

According to the sources, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique played important role in removing the perceived differences between both the leaders.

PM Sharif and his close associates have agreed to take strict action against corrupt elements in every department without any discrimination by adopting Nisar’s vision.

Assurance has been given to the interior minister on behalf of the prime minister of launching strict action against corrupt elements in departments including Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), police and any other departments.

The sources further disclosed that it was also ensured that funds would be provided timely for the National Action Plan and actions would be taken to eliminate terrorism across the provinces including Punjab without any discrimination under the given recommendations of National Action Plan.

  1. Whether the differences have ended or not, at least the source of tension between PM and IM have been spelt out. These are: 1. Non-action against Corruption, particularly in Police and FIA; and 2. No finances for National Action Plan.
