Nasir Iqbal, as quoted by a private media outlet, was a polio stricken man who dragged himself to the Gaddafi Stadium to witness a glimpse of his hero Shahid Afridi, on the day of the T20 international match in Pakistan after 6 years.
Iqbal – a resident of Kharian spent his hard-earned 1000 rupees to visit Lahore – and managed to reach the stadium with struggle, according to sources.
Inspired by his passion, PCB officials intervened and allowed him to proceed, despite the man only carrying his National Identity Card with him. On his way to the ground, the spectators were equally moved to witness the resolve and zeal, reported the private media outlet.
