At least 27 suspected people were arrested during a police search operation in a Karachi’s HillPark area in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to police sources, some foreigners are also included among the people rounded up by police in the overnight house-to-house search operation in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of HillPark.
Police sources said the operation was launched on intelligence regarding presence of suspected people in the area, however, no firearms were recovered from the suspects. The interrogations with the apprehended people were in progress, police sources said.
Meanwhile, the city police wiped out four dacoits in an alleged encounter in Sunday’s small hours in Railway Colony. Receiving a report of a robbery, a police party rushed towards the Railway Colony where they met gunfire from the outlaws. However, the alleged encounter wrapped up with the killing of four dacoits.
According to the SSP city, a pistol and two snatched motorbikes were recovered from the possession of the miscreants. Bodies have been shifted to CivilHospital.
THREE DRUG DEALERS KILLED
At least three drug dealers were killed after they opened fire on each other in Mahmudabad on Sunday. According to police, an armed clash took place between two groups of drug dealers that left three people killed in Chanesar Goth of Mahmudabad. Police have shifted the dead bodies to a hospital of the city.
SoThis is the ‘search’ operation. Making peoples life miserable with this excuse. Every one knows HillPark is a popular resort for those who can’t afford a house with big lawn. Police makes up for the ‘loss’ of revenue from such ‘raids’. Old habits die hard.
