The Lyari police claimed to have killed three gang war criminals in separate encounters on Saturday.
Kalri Police said three Lyari gang war criminals, Sikandar alias Sikoo, 25, Sameer alias Samoo, and Jahangir alias Jhaengo, 19, were killed in an encounter at their jurisdiction. They said three 9mm pistols and hand grenades were recovered from their possession.
Police said the deceased criminals were involved in cases of target killing, extortion and kidnapping for ransom. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities.
Separately, two criminals were injured in an exchange of fire with police in Mirza Adam Khan Road, Lyari. They were identified as Ali Akbar, 32, and Hashim, 25 and shifted to CHK.
