An anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Thursday indicted 106-accused in Kot Radha Kishan lynching case.
The court also summoned 11 witnesses to record their statements on May 22 (Friday). ATC-III Judge Haroon Latif heard the matter.
Earlier, the police produced the accused in the court in strict security. The court indicted the accused but all of them pleaded not guilty and contended to contest the charges.
At this, the court adjourned the matter until May 22, and summoned 11 witnesses to record their statement. The indictment of the 106-accused came after the police submitted a challan (charge sheet) against the suspects in the court.
The police had alleged that Brick kiln owner Yousaf Gujjar, Maulvi Mohammad Hussain, Maulvi Arshad Baloch and Maulvi Noorul Hassan were involved in stirring provocative speech against the couple, which led to the assembly of a mob.
An enraged mob on November 4, 2014, had beaten to death Shama and her spouse Shahzad in a village near Kot Radha Kishan and later burnt their bodies in the furnace of a brick kiln where the couple worked.
