Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Thursday visited the family that lost six children in the fire that broke out in a house in the Shadbagh area of Lahore on Sunday.
The CM met with the bereaved family and the heirs of the children and expressed his sympathies. He consoled the father of the deceased kids and assured him all sort of cooperation and assistance.
Talking to the media, Shahbaz Sharif said that stern action will be taken against the persons responsible for this tragedy and they would be brought to justice. He said that he would monitor the investigation of the incident personally.
The CM directed to constitute a special committee, led by chair of the CM Inspection Team, for the matter’s investigation.
As per details, rescue services reached the scene an hour after being alerted about the blaze. Three boys aged five to 12 were burned to death, while three girls between seven and 15 died of suffocation.
