Rangers claimed to have killed five criminals and apprehended their two accomplices in an encounter in Lyari in the wee hours of Thursday.
Rangers spokesperson said five Lyari gang war criminals were killed and two others arrested in a raid in Chakiwara. They said Rangers conducted a raid during which the criminals opened fire on Rangers. In retaliatory fire by Rangers, five criminals were killed and two others were arrested.
Rangers claimed that a number of weapons had also been recovered from the possession of accused. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities. Some of bodies were handed out to their heirs.
