The issue involving the arrest of former Sindh Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza has further flared up as Sindh Police Inspector General Ghulam Haider Jamali removed SSP South and SP Saddar from their offices over dereliction of duty, according to local media sources.

According to sources, SSP South Tariq Dharejo and SP Saddar Raees Ghani have been directed to report to CPO over their failure in arresting former home minister Zulfiqar Mirza. SSP South has been sent on 14-day forced holiday.

SHO Preedy Street Jahangir Mehr has been suspended and demoted over negligence. SSP Central Chaudhry Asad has been directed to take additional charge of SSP south, according to the sources. The notification to this effect has been issued overnight, authorities reported.
