Ayyan case: Court accepts bail plea application

RAWALPINDI:

A banking court on Monday accepted Ayyan Ali’s application for bail, to be heard on May 25, according to local media sources.

Three applications were presented in court today, two of which were from customs officials while the third was from Ayyan’s counsel.

The model had requested for bail which the court, headed by Judge Sabir Sultan, accepted for a hearing scheduled for May 25, according to sources.

Sources later revealed that a complete charge sheet had still not been submitted in the court and the team was deemed to be slower than the police, in terms of progress of the case.

Ayyan has appeared in front of court at least seven times, claim sources.
