Robbers gunned down two persons including father and son and injured three other family members upon resistance during a dacoity on Saturday morning.
Police said six armed robbers barged into a house in Ibrahim Haideri area of Korangi in Karachi, took the family hostage at gun point and started looting valuables from the house.
Upon resistance, the robbers opened fire killing the house owner Abdul Rehman, his son Fazal Karim, while house wife Ayesha along with her two children Shamas and Shakoor sustained wounds.
Despite being informed in time by the neighbours of the victim family, the police as usual arrived at the scene after a long delay providing an opportunity to the robbers to flee safe and sound along with the looted valuables.
The bodies and injured were shifted to JinnahHospital for medico-legal formalities. The police have registered a case into the incident and vowed to bring the culprits to book soon.
Meanwhile, a man, Danish, aged about, 35, was killed and another Kamran, injured in armed clash between two groups near NasirSchool in New Karachi. The body and injured were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH).
Abdul Ghaffar, 40, son of Pir Muhammad, was shot at and injured by unknown armed men near Dastagir Hotel on Link Road. He was rushed to (JPMC) for treatment. In another incident, a boy, Zubair, 18, son of Noor Muhammad, was wounded to bullets when unknown gunmen opened fire on him in Bacha Khan Chowk, Banarus. He was brought to ASH for treatment.
