Police here have lodged an FIR against an eighth class student and others for firing at police.
Wajid Ali, 13, son of Suleman Shaikh, has been nominated and arrested in the same case. The case has been registered under sections 402, 399, 324 & 353 PPC in which applicant ASI Shoukat Bhangar alleged that Wajid Shaikh was standing armed along with his other associates namely Zahid Mirani, Asghar alias Angoo Khokhar, Gulzar Mangnejo and three unidentified accused with the intention of committing crime.
When they saw police patrolling party coming, they started firing at it which continued for 15 minutes and then they disappeared in the nearby guava orchids during darkness, the FIR added. Police have already obtained his 4-days remand from Ratodero court where he was produced. SHO Ghulam Mustafa Abro said Wajid and his accomplices were involved in street crime.
However, accused Wajid Shaikh said police arrested him four days ago from a video games shop. He said he was studying in class VIII at GovernmentBoysHigherSecondary School and had nothing to do with the alleged crime.
