A patient suffering with deadly Congo virus expired in Karachi on Saturday.
The provincial health department said that 38-year-old Sabir, hailing from Buffalo Colony of Karachi, was shifted to a private hospital the other day.
During treatment Sabir was found affected with Congo virus. He remained in intense care unit (ICU) for 24 hours and expired on Saturday afternoon.
This is the first death due to Congo virus during the current year and the citizens have expressed grave concerns over its. They demanded of the provincial government and health authorities for taking concrete steps to stop the outspread of Congo virus which has claimed dozen of precious lives during last few years.
