President Mamnoon Hussain has urged that the issue of Kuwaiti bans on visas for Pakistani nationals be resolved urgently.
The president said this in a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly of Kuwait Mr. Marzouq Ali M. Al-Ghanim who called on him along with a delegation at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
Mamnoon Hussain said that Pakistan attaches great importance to its relations with Kuwait and wishes to enhance cooperation in all mutually beneficial areas. The president noted that the Pakistani community is making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of Kuwait. The President said that the strong Pakistani community in Kuwait is an important bridge between the two countries adding that Pakistan would be happy to meet any of Kuwait’s future work force requirements.
The president stated that Pakistan and Kuwait have always stood by each other in testing times. He said that Pakistan wishes to further enhance and balance the bilateral trade volume with Kuwait. He expressed hope that early conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) would also be helpful in expanding bilateral trade.
