In what appears to be an attempt to highlight masses’ love for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, his wife Reham Khan tweeted that Imran Khan Chappal was now available only for Rs 5,500 with free home delivery. She also mentioned in the tweet that she had received this message from senior PTI leader Dr Arif Alvi.
There was some positive response from the PTI fans on this tweet, without realizing that this was just a spam message being circulated that Reham had tweeted.
Asim Shahid @AsimShahidPTI tweeted: “@RehamKhan1 bhabi I want to buy. What’s the details.”
But there were others who were furious at this tweet.
Wahaz @wahaz tweeted: “@RehamKhan1 5500 ki chappal??? Yeh thi Tabdeeli…Wah..KPK me log bhook se mar rahay hai aur Imran chappal 5500 ki bech raha hai wah.”
Dr Arif Alvi confirmed that it was just a spam message that he had received and had forwarded it to Reham Khan.
He tweeted: “I got this spam SMS about @ImranKhanPTI Peshawar Chappal. It is obvious that every thing about IK is famous ;-)”
However, Twitterati seemed ready to troll PTI and Reham Khan over this tweet.
Ali Warraich @AleWarraich tweeted: “Just Got msg from Arif Alvi sab. Reham Started her Journey from khi’s Qulfi n nowadays passing through Peshwari Chappal 😛 #PTIRoznamaBakBak”
There were those who said Reham deliberately tweeted to give leverage to the Chappal.
