  • COAS calls Agha Khan, condoles on Ismailis’ massacre, vows action against terrorists

Hours after 45 Ismailis were killed in an attack on a bus in Karachi on Wednesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif telephoned the head of Ismaili community Prince Karim Agha Khan, offered his condolences and vowed to bring the culprits to justice at all costs.
In a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Gen Sharif, who flew to Karachi shortly after the carnage, vowed to take facilitators and sympathisers of the terrorists to their logical conclusion.
“Our heart goes out for the bereaved families. No efforts would be spared to apprehend and punish the perpetrators of this terrorist act; their abettors and backers,” said an ISPR press release.
