The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday directed the federal government to submit a presidential decree regarding Senate polls for FATA representatives.
An IHC bench comprising Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Amir Farooq took up the case, standing counsel Shafaqat Jan and Idris Ashraf representing FATA senators appeared before the court.
Ashraf requested the court to direct the federal government to produce a copy of the presidential order in the court, which deprived senators from FATA to contest Senate polls on the polling day.
The court while issuing a notice to the federal government adjourned the hearing.
