CHICHAWATNI:
An election tribunal in Multan unseated Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf’s MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz for deliberately concealing assets from the Election Commission of Pakistan, local media sources reported Tuesday.
Nawaz was elected a member of the National Assembly from NA 162 constituency in May 2013 general elections.
His victory was challenged by a common citizen, Haji Muhammad Ayub, who had approached the tribunal claiming that Nawaz is a defaulter and that he has concealed his assets, authorities stated.
The election tribunal ordered reelection in the NA-162 constituency, according to sources.
