Responding to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s lawyer Abdul Hafeez Pirzada during a meeting of the Judicial Commission probing alleged rigging in General Elections 2013, former Punjab election commissioner (EC) Mehboob Anwar Tuesday confessed making a report on poll rigging.

Speaking before the commission headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Nasirul Mulk in Islamabad, Anwar said that he made the report in the light of PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s accusations where he also mentioned that news of printing of extra ballot papers. He added that ballot papers were printed under his supervision in Punjab.

The former official said that ballot papers were printed according to the demand and were distributed according to the Election Commission’s plan. He said that extra people were not sent for printing but for the compilation and numbering of ballot papers.
